Document & business-card scanner for Android
Ninja Scan captures documents and business cards, reads the text, and keeps every byte on your phone unless you decide otherwise — no ads, no analytics, no account required to use it.
edge detect → crop → OCR → done
Capture
Point the camera at a document and edges are detected, corrected, and cleaned up automatically — shadows and stains removed, up to 50 pages per scan. Every page is run through on-device text recognition the moment it saves, so search finds a document by what's actually written on it, not just its title.
Folders keep the library organized — add, rename, or delete them any time, and filter by tapping a chip.
Organize
Scanning a card extracts the name, company, title, phone, email, and address on-device — layout-aware, so a name and job title printed side by side don't get run together. Label contacts with reusable, colored tags — Client, Vendor, Follow-up, whatever fits — create, rename, recolor, or delete a tag any time, and search finds contacts by tag too.
Clean up
Select several documents at once and share or delete them together in one action — no tapping through each one individually. The same long-press opens rename and delete on a folder chip, reliably, every time.
Protect
Add an optional diagonal watermark and it's stamped on the fly whenever the document is viewed, shared, or exported — the stored file itself stays clean, and the watermark stays editable, or removable, at any time. Turn on Drive backup and scans and contacts upload automatically through Google's narrowest Drive permission — the app can only ever see files it created itself.
Privacy, by design
Ninja Scan runs no ad network, no analytics SDK, and no third-party tracker of any kind. There's no data pipeline to opt out of — there simply isn't one.
Document and card text recognition happen locally, through ML Kit's on-device APIs — nothing is uploaded to recognize a word.
Google Drive backup is off by default and scoped to
drive.file — the app can't see the rest of your
Drive, ever.
Delete a scan or contact any time in-app; uninstalling removes everything local with it.
